Ms. Rima Hakim

Mrs. Rima Hakim received her Master of Business Management and Bachelor of Science in Management with accounting emphasis both from Beirut University College (currently Lebanese American University) in1990 and 1993respectively. In 2013 she became Certified Management Accountant (CMA®), credential granted by The Institute of Certified Management Accountants (ICMA). Mrs. Hakim is asenior lecturer of accounting at Rafik Hariri University,College of Business Administration and a member of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants Lebanon chapter.She is an IMA Campus Advocate and ACBSP Co-Champion. Mrs. Hakim contributed several research paperson accounting education and the readiness of students to join the job market. Her work is published in specialized academic journalsas “World Review of Business Research” and “Global Review of Accounting and Finance”

Intermediate Accounting II

The course is a continuation of BACC 305. It concentrates on the measurement and reporting of liabilities and of the various components of stockholders’ equity in accordance with IFRS. The course also highlights the main differences between IFRS and GAAP to provide the students with a global accounting education.

This course is an in- depth study of accounting issues related to the measurement and reporting of assets, liabilities and income in accordance with IFRS.
