This course provides a comprehensive introduction to information systems and their application. It explains how to use and manage information technologies to revitalize business processes, conduct electronic commerce, improve business decision-making, and gain competitive advantage. The course will help students understand the importance of Management Information systems in today’s business environment. It will define and analyze typical functional information systems and identify how they meet the needs of the firm to deliver efficiency and competitive advantage over time. Students will also learn to recognize the major management challenges to building and using information systems and get to know how to find appropriate solutions to those Challenges. The course should enable students to have a deep understanding of the business and professional responsibilities, ethical and social, related to the use of information systems in organizations.

The affiliated University will issue a course completion certificate on course completion and if an online exam is passed. If no exam is taken, the affiliated University will issue a certificate of course attendance.
