Dr. Bassel Diab holds a Ph.D. degree in Economic Informatics from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Romania, a master degree in Business Administration from the AUL university, and a Bachelor degree in Money and Banking from Beirut Arab University, Lebanon. Dr. Diab is a lecturer at Rafik Hariri University, College of Business, teaching a variety of information technology management courses. Prior to that, Dr. Diab assumed several professional positions in Lebanon and KSA. Dr. Diab progressed from a Chief accountant to deputy Finance Manager, then cost control manager, and before starting his PhD program he was the Finance Manage of a trading company. Dr. Diab is a consultant in the areas of data and performance analysis and business information technology strategic alignment. He has published several articles in academic journals and international conferences in the fields of artificial intelligence, information systems and corporate culture, and IT governance.
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to information systems and their application. It explains how to use and manage information technologies to revitalize business processes, conduct electronic commerce, improve business decision-making, and gain competitive advantage.
